I'd recommend keeping it but let it morph into it's natural system...


when the depth and complexity of cyber warfare, cybersecurity, and artificial intelligence develop sufficiently then the methods of war will also change. A satellite system that is fully integrated into a weapons defense that is deployable 100% of the time will make much of the current conventional war machine irrelevant. So the Space Force becomes viable and it could continue as a separate branch of the DoD but not in the way that I think DT imagined.

But a Space Force that is intended to launch and make war in space with space craft is ridiculous. Imagine the time needed to put a space craft into orbit. The US defense industry might not be able to keep up with demand if it is thought that the DoD would conduct war in space in this manner.

Of course, I could be completely wrong. The Space Force envisioned by DT could actually be based on the new system of hydrosonic missiles that would be used to blast the teeth out of our adversaries. Marvin the Martian beware.
